THE RED KOMODO 6K is the latest breakthrough product in RED’s long line of innovative image capture technology. The newest entrant into the RED lineup is a compact and highly powerful cinema camera. It features RED’s cinema grade image quality, color science and sensor technology into a portable form factor so users can take it anywhere and adapt it to any shooting scenario.
The new sensor in the RED KOMODO is a 6K S35 global shutter sensor that breaks new technical ground by eliminating the need to sacrifice dynamic range and meets the RED standard of unmatched imagery without any creative or technical compromises. KOMODO also features a built-in Canon RF mount allowing users the flexibility to use numerous different lens adapters, such as Canon EF, PL and Leica M mount. The RED KOMODO also has a DC IN power port and can also be powered using two Canon BP style batteries.

NOTE: The RED KOMODO 6K has an adaptable RF lens mount. KOMODO requires a lens mount adapter, i.e. RF to EF, RF to PL, in order to shoot. RF to EF Mechanical Adapter included with camera.
Specifications
The RED KOMODO shoots up to 6K at 50 frames per second (fps) and up to 120fps in 2K in REDCODE RAW. It also captures up to 4K 60fps in ProRes 422 or 120fps in 2K. Its mount is Canon’s full-frame mirrorless RF lens mount. Additionally, it has a single Cfast 2.0 media card slot, has autofocus support and uses two Canon BP-9 series batteries. At 2.1 pounds (lbs), the 4 inch by 4-inch square is a bit smaller in size and weight than the RED DSMC2 brain. The RED KOMODO offers a global shutter on its Super35 CMOS sensor. Also it has integrated Wi-Fi for industry-leading smartphone functionality — livestream from the camera through cell phone connectivity or existing network infrastructure.
